Greetings and Salutations. I've been playing a few Visual Novels and I just recently made an account so I can be able to comment on them and give my full review, especially for those who are trying to see if they want to get into the game, or for the creator to see. I want to start by saying I really liked how the story felt realistic. the dialogue felt genuine. A big problem a lot of Visual Novels have is that it does genuinely feel like a "novel" a lot of the time. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with intensive story-telling but I think the way you wrote the characters and how they interacted was very unique.
With the amount of content in the game from the different routes, it is safe to say that I enjoyed the game thoroughly. For anyone reading, I can assure you to continue playing the game until the end, because that's where the real meat of the story and everything falls into place is.
One thing I will recommend or perhaps even suggest for future updates (if possible) is sound design and maybe more scenes. For example.. (SPOILERS)
For sound designs, things like whispers every now and again when we are in the POV of Jefferey being possessed. For scenes, for example, when Ted and Jeffery are driving to the cave entrance, I audibly gasped because of the cute visual of them together in the car. It was a nice touch, and scenes like for the intimate scenes or even scenes like when Darren got shot, for example, of flashbacks of Caleb would make the story more immersive.
(SPOILERS END)
Overall, I loved the game and it was a very nice story to lay back and read. It wasn't overly horrific, but it genuinely did have some endings that made me shake my head in shock and awe. Loved it!
