This was a fun game to play and I can tell there was a lot of careful consideration put into every intractable item in it. but for the life of me I can not figure out how to get ending B. The manual doesn’t help on that much either. I have interacted with everything I could think of.

That's because the manual is meant for the main ending of the game, and the others are meant more as additional fun. :D For that ending it's about when you interact, on top of what though. If you'd like help to find ending B:
After you interact with the basement door the first time, go talk to the brother and go from there. :) I'm glad you enjoyed the game otherwise though. :D
