dropping my review here lowl
really interesting concept and, for the most part, is put together quite nicely. loved the eerie atmosphere and abandoned town feel!! especially the blood rain in small church garden! delicious!! from a distance, some of the downed trees look like corpses... idrk if that was intentional orrr idk maybe its just me, but i thought that really added to the unsettled ambiance! ohh and the shadows following us back across the bridge!! i get why the environmental interactions were quite limited, but i think there's soooo much potential here- like maybe you could explore the town's relationship with the church or go into why the place is abandoned using scattered newspaper clippings or explore the prices' relationship with their neighbours through interactive objects on the neighbours patios or something idrk. or idk more notes in the church section specifying why lucy specifically was targeted (if it was more than just bc she was young meat or whatevs lowl. felt like quite a facile explanation). i thought killer's revealment in the evidence #5 note was WAY too overt. like it almost hurt. earlier in the game the investigator commented about fabricating evidence or something and i was kinda like 'ohhh bro did it'. but idk i liked how subtle that was, in comparison to the end. i feel like this game would be better off by dropping a few more subtle hints (e.g. field notes you write along the way which infer previous observations (a talented investigator or a stalker preparing an abduction?? *gasp*) or idk doing something more with the weird nothing-burger 'behind you' ghost interaction. like does lucy recognise us??) dropped throughout the game, and the final note was made a bit more discrete (bc "I did it" rly DIDN'T do it for me yk hheheh) but just as woe oracle-y... idk why i wrote a whole ahh essay lol good job devs!!!
