The toolbars seem to be okay.
But creating a new project: whenever I select a template, it redraws all template symbols, but all have no images, just square with text below. (Full HD Mode with 256 colors).
I tried some time ago on emulator configured as A1200 with 8 MB ram, there were images, but very slow drawing.
Maybe you should target a maximum of 8 colors (optional).
It might not look so good but performance is more critical.

The drawing is awfully slow. In this case: A1200, HiresInterlace 256 colors, ACA1234 68030 50 MHz. (with 8 color-mode no image in the splash but images in project wizard)
Same system, but with P-Vision, 1920x1080 256 colors: no images drawn.
btw: pressing cancel in project wizard does not cancel but brings project settings window
