Okay... This might be one of the most satisfying battle games I've played in a while (even though I died like 5-7 times, no shame).

I really liked the combat system and  I think it could get seriously intense with the parry (which I have NOT pulled off yet, it's brutal, I'm stuck on it 😂) and the dodge moves. What I'd love to see added is maybe an air combo, like Backward+Y  and then light attacks with XXX!! But honestly, already having one with LT or Y is really nice as is. Small thing I noticed: both follow-ups (Y and LT) seem to deal the same damage, but LT costs gauge and Y doesn't... might be worth balancing

What I liked: The combat, the design, the combat (yes, again), the tension, the reflex-testing that kind of makes up for the lack of combos (though I didn't even see them all since I never finished the tutorial, parry stopped me in my tracks).

What I didn't like: Honestly? Not sure. Maybe the combo variety, if I had to pick something.

thanks alot for the review Mathos0!

My thinking was to not bog down the game with too many combos and it's a bit more about timing and finding openings in the enemy. Though I do think I could add more light attack combos.

LT in air does do same damage but it also allows you do close the gap between you and your enemy really quickly (as it's literally a energy dash) and it also has major knockback (enemy goes flying away)  so you could put some distance between you and the enemy in the cases where you want to breathe a little (or maybe heal).

I always neglected the parry alot, i'm still on the fence whether it belongs in the game or not.

also dont worry, after the parry thing in the tutorial it only teaches you the rb sol menu to do your skills, and then it ends.

anyways though i'm glad you enjoyed!
