On the one hand i understand your problem, risking getting banned and page deleted because someone reported it with no realistic way to appeal is not feasible or healthy for the project and the artist.
One the other i looked at the banned categories on subscribestar and they are absolutely ridiculous.
Alcohol banned? Your typical RPG Tavern? banned. Beer, wine and strictly speaking even fruit juice unless in a basically sterile environment - banned. Certainly your self grown apples pressed into juice in an open glass in a garden on a warm summer day. That evil yeast!
But not only that, profiteering of it in any form is enough. You own a bar and want to use the platform? Banned unless your bar is alcohol free (and they care to check). Actually being a brewer or vintner is even worse.
Trading of weapons. You may have your rpg but you shall not buy any sword, dagger, club or pointy toothpick anywhere. Demonstrations of weapon crafting - sorry, no smithing of daggers either and be very careful with woodworking. One might argue that any crafted item of sufficient mass is at least a blunt weapon. So not pottery either, too dangerous. Paper being a grey zone since most people will know how that can hurt if it cuts.
With in-game items being a banned category all games with inventory mechanics are forbidden as well? What's a diamond pickaxe if not an in-game item? Or you typical torch for dungeoneering.
I can't help but question how serious they take their own list since surely there is lots of stuff that could be banned according to that extremely broad list but is not. Of course it's probably more of a convenience thing to be able to ban almost anything if wanted. Still, having that sword of damocles hanging over your creative project can make you sick :(
From my point of view they just managed to kill another game, another story, since you simply can't make the same without the mind control. It's something distinctly different then and quite a lot of things simply don't work anymore. Hell, by those rules almost any famous story could be banned, be it antique, medieval or modern, including religious ones. So basically most of human culture. But porn is fine. Even with animals as long as they are not real. What a world to live in. *total absence of joy*
I voted for the hand drawn style since it looks really nice in the example scenes and if you come up with a way to navigate around those ... rules and still stay sane having a style that sticks out a bit and looks nice is good.
