Hi, I bought Glide Video Studio for the 'Pace' function, but I can't get working results. I have tried with both videos (MP4) and WAV files (dialogue only) but when I click to remove the cuts (all of them are selected) the output file only has the first few seconds of sound before it goes silent for the rest of it. Can you help please? Thanks!
Thanks for the detailed report, that's genuinely useful, and I'm sorry Pace let you down.
It's logged and it's my top priority right now. What you're describing (output keeping the first few seconds of audio and then going silent, on both MP4 and dialogue-only WAV) is specific enough to work from, and I'm on it.
Two things would help me narrow it down faster:
1. Roughly how long is the clip you're running through Pace?
2. On the MP4, does the video run full length, or does it stop early too?
I'll reply here the moment there's a fixed build. In the meantime, if you'd rather have a refund than wait, email support@glidevideo.com and I'll take care of it.
Fixed in 2.0.2, which is live on itch now - update through the app or re-download from your library.
You were right that it was the same fault on both MP4 and WAV. Pace renders each kept section separately and joins them, and the fades on each section were being timed against the original clip's timeline rather than the section's own - so every section that didn't start at 00:00 was faded to silence before it began. One cut always worked because a single section skips the join, which is why this went unnoticed for so long.
There's now an automated test that exports three sections and fails if any come back silent, so it can't quietly return.
Thanks again for the detail in your report - it's what made this findable. The refund offer still stands if you'd rather not carry on, but I'd appreciate knowing whether 2.0.2 sorts it for you.
