Finished everything in a little over 9 hrs. Visuals are very nice but I think 1.11.0 is still overall pretty buggy and not particularly well tuned.
Gyms are overtuned and I feel like the exp gain hits diminishing return super early so it's impossible to overlevel the gym leader even if you do every trainer & finish every wild encounter. I was always 3-5 ish level below the gym leaders. Not saying this is bad but I personally don't like the exp curve.
Fighting gym is extremely buggy. It seems like a good number of moves used by NPCs are bugged:
Low kick seems to ignore burn and always hits for max Power. I burned the Machop with my Torchic yet still got OHKOed.
Focus Punch has bugged 'focus' visuals, and the NPCs seem to be able to use both Focus Punch + another move at the same time on every turn. So you're forced to not switch & click attack while they chip you down with other moves.
Some other bugs:
You can walk into the garden of Rustboro city and catch lvl 20 roaming pokemons while your team are like lvl 11.
Accuracy, evasion, and secondary effects chance in general seems to be bugged but I'm not too sure about how. Every move seems to hit all the time despite using sand attack, double team, inaccurate moves and whatnot.
Damaging status effects ticks right after it is inflicted rather than at the end of the turn. Poison & toxic damage also doesn't scale correctly (very low).
Supersonic has the most annoying bug where wild/NPC pokemons will spam them nonstop, they also seems to have sure-hit accuracy.
Confusion duration can somehow get refreshed if your mon gets confused again by the opponent (seriously fuck those Zubats and Tentacools).
Confusion can't stack with non-volatile statuses like para or poision.
Ember always burns.
Headbutt has 750 accuracy instead of 75.
Stat increases and decreases don't really work when applied on the same mon? There's this one time I bulk uped 6 times then get growled once and somehow I ended up with -3 atk +6 def.
UI is all-around really buggy on controller, D-pad doesn't move the selection to where I want it to be 50% of the time. And it is extremely easy to hit soft-reset by accident on controller (B+Y). The button mapping is also very different than modern pokemon games so if I'd play this again I probably would just play with kb&m.
