No, It's a known issue. The Mac version works only from the Itch App for some people, it seems. I'm trying to fix that in the next version.
I just released a new version. There were some issues with the signature of the Mac App file. I fixed it in the latest patch. Let me know if it's working on your side (I still recommend using the Itch App, though :))
