If anything, there are laws that PROTECT online grooming. Them saying that “you have to make a police report” you “have to have hard proof” you are literally doing WHAT the police would likely do in this situation and dismissing the obvious proof right in front of your face just because YOU can’t verify it and YOU don’t actually care, you just want to defend your favorite groomer.
And if it wasn’t grooming, it is indefinitely WITHOUT A DOUBT inappropriate conversations with a FAN who they have POWER over because of that dynamic, which, is a form of grooming. While SOME states might have laws in place that’s not to mean that the minor’s does, no, the minor does not HAVE to make a police report if they are not comfortable or if it jeopardizes their own safety.
