its day 1 release, it's not very easy to perfect a game without testing- i.e through early access- and unreal engine is very difficult base for a game such like pokemon
my issue is that its labeled early access when it should be labeled "open alpha" or "open beta". Early access means the game is almost done with very little to be done development wise. This game needs WORK, and a lot of it. Extremely misleading. Look at other people's comments, im not the only one experiencing game breaking issues. The gym fights are borderline unplayable.
