I really enjoyed the level of polish all around in this game! The music, visuals, and writing are all doing something incredible.
The visuals caught my attention right away. The UI looks incredibly nice, and the HUD is easy to read. The typography gives it a very Gensokyo-core personality
Aside from that, the scenery has fine details that clearly have a lot of thought put into them. For example, at Misty Lake, the mountain in the background is very strikingly in the middle. At the forest, there's distinct sides and various finer details (ex: shrooms, pathways), all of which make it feel alive even when nobody's on-screen. To add to what's already there, perhaps there could be different shading levels depending on the time of day - especially in the sky.
More generally, the black-and-white scenery and mostly monochrome characters makes for an interesting style. The characters in particular get a lot of personality brought out by their color placement. It reminds me a little bit of Death Note, now that I think about it - and of course it stands out!
The variety of music also does a lot for similar reasons. I appreciate the reuse and the new songs alike.

Lastly, I'm very fascinated by how much is going on in the writing. What I saw so far (as of the last rating day) already makes the setting feel very natural and lived in. On the other hand, given the scenario, it helps to be able to skip through what's been explored already (ex: due to forgetting, or to experiment with other pre-existing conditions in the day). I especially enjoyed how much Mizuchi's dialect stands out; it's not often that we get an anti-hero protagonist.
There's no rush at all, but I'm looking forward to seeing the rest when the updates are complete!
