I think its a bit too hard to even try to do most things. There are situations that are simple damaging and unavoidable as well as things being extremely expensive for the time and stats one cang get. I encountered around 5 different errors in less than 2 hours. Its VERY hard to progress, at least from my perspective
The early game is poorly balanced, yes.
I highly recommend going for runs for the first three week of in-game time to get a decent stamina pool going.
Do keep in mind that random events, as well as going to classes, can give you skill exp if you do them right.
When in combat, try to use the skill which prevents the enemy from performing their special move, especially when fighting the homeless guy. The poison is bullshit early game.
As for money, you can get a part time job after you go for a jog a few times. One shift gives you around 20000 credits, which is more than enough for early game.
The whole thing definitely gets getting used to but it is good to remember that the game doesn't have a real time limit.
You can take as much time as you want to do things.
