Great job on your first game jam. Making a game without a game engine is a challenge. The theme of the game is interesting and it seems like there is a lot to build off of! I think it would benefit a lot from a short tutorial. Also, it seemed like there were quite long stretches of down time, which could maybe be filled with another kind of activity like hauling water.
