Everytime I try to download it, my browsers detect it as a virus and Windows Defender finds file titled "Trojan:Script/Wacatac.H!ml." Do you have an explanation for this?
It's a false positive but it was my fault, so I've fixed the cause and reuploaded
The `!ml` on the end of Wacatac.H!ml means it's a machine learning guess, not a match against actual known malware. That name is one of the most common false positives Defender throws out. Install.bat used to download a copy of Python off the internet and run it, if you didn't already have Python. Handy, and also exactly what a malware dropper does: a batch file quietly launching powershell, pulling a zip off the web, unpacking it and running the exe inside. Defender can't tell why a script is doing that, only that it is, so it flagged the whole download.
Please redownload, the new version is up. https://github.com/TypeOneAppolo/tcv-multiplayer-mod
