Awesome work! :)
Once you get the hang of the controls, it's really fun. Definitely nails the old school beat 'em up feel, and reminds me a bit of a Simpsons arcade game I used to play at the local pizza place, and some classic flash games. Beat it on my second attempt.
My only quibbles are the lack of gallery after beating the game, and the timing for some of the special animations (like the soccer gal juggle, which is a bit too quick to savor). The animations are pretty sweet (also, loved the opening cinematic), so it would be nice to see them again as unlockables!
For certain enemies going off-screen, a simple solution would be to make the stage loop around, or to add some kind of indicator arrow.
Some unsolicited suggestions from an interet rando:
-I really like the hubworld idea! It would be cute to walk around and inspect the collection.
-Every good arcade game needs some kind of score. Would be neat to see some kind of total for bums corrected or panties collected.
-NEEDS SOME CRATES. Every beat 'em has destructable crates, man. :)
P.S. For those struggling with the final boss, do crowd control first (spam the slap), and save your energy. Once the soccer girls are down and the cheerleaders are thinned out a little, parry everything into oblivion.
