i think im gonna have to chew on this one in my head for a while.
another chamberlillium banger, the writing and fleshing out of the environment and the characters themselves really do alot to make it all feel drawn out of real life. i feel most readers may find some part of themself reflected in either nadja or marie, parts they may already know, and others repressed to the fringes of the mind.
i find myself sort of endlessly pouring over the art, sort of a crossover of wurtzian impressionist painting styles and the character work of jim benton.
the music is wonderful as well, complimenting the warm and hopeless feeling rural locale the characters are trapped in, and also great at building tension when things start to fall apart. I also have to shout out some of the sound effects work. nadja's realistic coughing was honestly crazy.
