Hey! ๐Ÿ˜Š Thanks a lot, I'm really glad you like the inventory system!

For your questions:

1. Is there a quick way to remove the max number of items per slot?

Yes.

Open this file:

components/inventory_system/scripts/inventory.rpy

Find the Inventory class and look for:

self.max_items_per_slot = 99

Change it to a higher number, for example:

self.max_items_per_slot = 9999

This will effectively remove the practical limit for most games.

2. Can different items have different max amounts?

Not in the current version.

The current system uses one global stack limit for all items. It is possible to customize this, but it requires modifying the inventory logic and some basic Python knowledge.

3. Can I have two separate inventories for different items?

The inventory system itself can support multiple inventory objects, but the included screen is currently designed around the main inventory.

The inventory display is handled separately here:

components/inventory_system/screens/inventory_screen.rpy

To create another inventory (for example, a separate Key Item bag), you would also need to create or modify a screen to display that inventory.

This is possible, but it requires some additional Ren'Py screen language knowledge.

Also, just a small heads-up: I'm working on a Pro version of the inventory system based on feedback and ideas collected over the years.

The goal is to make it a more complete inventory framework while keeping the same beginner-friendly approach. It includes more advanced item interactions, custom item behaviors, different stack limits, item-specific actions, weight systems, gift giving, item usage options, sounds, notifications, and many other improvements.

It is still designed to be easy to use without requiring a deep programming background.

If you are looking for a more advanced inventory system, it may be worth waiting for the Pro version. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Thanks again for showing interest in my project.
