MCP support or open to plugins?

Hi,

First congratulation for your great software, as a game developper and a former Unity employee I appriciate the work done.

I'd like to be able to control 1BitDragon through a AI agent like Claude Code.

Would you integrate such a feature or open an API so that anybody in your users community could do it?

Thanks.

Hi,

Thanks a lot, especially coming from a game developer and former Unity employee!

That’s a very interesting idea. 1BitDragon doesn’t currently have a public API, and I can’t promise one yet, but allowing external tools and AI agents to control it is definitely something I could explore for a future version.

What kind of actions would you mainly want the agent to perform: create a complete song, edit notes and instruments, control effects, export files, or something else?

Thanks for the suggestion!

Since I'm not a musician and like many solo dev I must do all the work myself (code, art, music ...).

So it would be great if I could ask an AI to generate a song as a "good" starting base instead of being stuck in front of a blank page.

Thanks, that makes sense. An MCP server could be a really good approach: it would allow me to keep AI features out of 1BitDragon itself, which I prefer, while still letting users who want AI assistance connect it to their own AI agent. Thanks for the suggestion!
