Great game, love how simple it is. Trust me when I say I play a lot of games exactly like this and the largest way they turn me off is by becoming too complex or grindy. Idle Loops (too complex), Journey To Ascension (too grindy), Increlution (abandoned but became too grindy near the end anyway), Terraformental (WAYYYYY too complex). Plus a ton of others coming out and many in the past I had since forgotten. I can't stress this enough but the biggest charm of the game I hope the dev sticks to is KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid).

The only real complaint I have is buying the real game after playing the demo. There is in fact new content, at least a new area of sorts and a new choice. For being only 3 USD I can't complain too much, I don't regret buying it to make that much clear. I'm all about supporting devs while they may still be in EA. It just I would be lying to say I wasn't disappointed. The Demo(n) just been rename to Demon with new flavor text but is still currently the end of the game. I was actually sad nothing came about the dire wolf fur you get for killing the wolves as I was expecting to be crafted into a cloak or something in the real game. As far as I am aware it is an useless filler item that the dev may had possibly forgotten about. There is no real new chapter aside from maybe the new choice which just feel off to me which I'll get to later. If the goal of the protag is to get 1 million power I feel the game is progressing in power too fast for how little content there is. I wish the army kill milestones felt more like real milestones with decent gaps between them instead of just being the progression gates that they currently are. It doesn't feel like I am doing a lot in terms of picking upgrades and paths as much as I am just waiting a lot. I know it is an idle game but it just isn't a good feeling when you have to wait for such a short amount of time you can't go do anything else but last long enough that you are stuck staring at nothing. I feel more snappier choices overall could be nice. The dev is controlling the time frame, the dream never told the protag they had only a day, week or even year to do the task iirc and even if it did that could be changed. I feel larger gaps between the army fights but more filler arc type stuff like rebuilding a town or starting a company to get some funding for the growing army could do wonders. Train skills that literally doesn't help anything combat/power related at all such as construction, fishing, mining, whatever.

The only other criticism I have is the darker path of the newest choice in the game. Spoilers of course so read ahead at your own risk: I think the protag going fully evil and killing the cat is out of left field. I don't mind having evil choices in general but with the kill wolves, goblins or even fairy if you didn't know there was a more pacifist choice right next to it you would think the protag was just being a standard hero archetype. I feel killing the cat (which seemingly the thing the protag loved though he literally only petted it five times) was out of left field and doesn't fit in the story even as a dark path. My suggestion would be add pickpocketing for gold as a quick easy task instead of earning money the current way among other cheaty skipping tasks but have them give the protag +1 darkness or whatever. Not as hard choices but evil acts the protag can do as bonuses. Maybe have some tasks give massive amount of exp like stealing the fairy-like potions from a stall. If you have enough darkness in your heart that will allow you to kill the cat and set up the necro route to be more fitting in the sense of the story. Also maybe add filler tasks like doing something for the barkeep to get a dead rat to feed to the cat, maybe play with the cat and such that make the cat more deserving of a soul of a loved one. To give the dev credit, I found it weird killing the cat gave a choice popup given getting the roasted chicken as a bonus action didn't effect the wizard's tower door choice. Just tested it and if you kill the cat you can no longer pet it, it is in fact the same cat you meet at the start of the game. Very cool.

Now I'm not going to just criticize without giving helpful feedback. I play the game with a full run of every possible choice combination. Some choices currently don't even meet 50k power required for current last doable demon army milestone fight. If it is by design some paths are objectively bad and won't ever be able to complete the game then ignore me. I don't mind at all if only a few correct choices allow for success. But if the game is meant to be designed to allow any path to complete the game then there are currently 11 possible paths that will be unable to do so. The order of tasks is Fairy, Wolves, Goblins, Tower Door, Dwarves/Dragonkin and Necro. L = Left and R = Right as in which option to pick when it comes up.

For anyone curious the strongest path is LLLLLR - 56183, which surprise me as you kill the wolves so don't get them as mounts to upgrade. Guess undead beat armor?

For now if anyone were on the fence of buying the game I sadly wouldn't recommend it. It feel like a demo when a demo already exist. It doesn't feel large enough to warrant the price at the moment imo. The dev seem to be regularly updating the game though and I hope my message won't discourage them but instead encourage given how much love I have for the game and just wish the paid version was a clear step above the current demo.
