Unicorn Hunting is a short fantasy TTRPG about hunting or taming mythical horses.

The PDF is 17 pages, with a clean but undecorated layout. As of this review, the game is in a self-professed early concept state.

As a game in its concept state, Unicorn Hunting explains the intended direction for its design and frameworks a lot of spaces for mechanics and lore, but doesn't quite fill anything in yet. Social class is tracked. Religion is tracked. Neither has a concrete mechanical effect yet.

One thing I do particularly like is the game's positioning of unicorn hunting as dangerous and driven by economic factors, thereby creating a tension between need and ethics in play. Another thing I like is that the game uses anklebones as its dice---I haven't seen another ttrpg try this, but it hearkens back to the earliest evidence of the hobby.

Overall, I think there's a ton of potential here.

Unicorn Hunting lays out a strong framework, and I'd love to check back as it develops further.
