Regarding the climbing numbers, a route has an inherent difficulty (e.g. 4) that is eased or increased by the items described in the brackets (modifying number, e.g. -2). The combination gives you the actual difficulty (in that case 2). Since most people don't know my system, I thought adding the descriptors into the calculation makes easier to use with or without Mountain Resonance.

I've thought a lot about how to approach my short adventures. I flipped the classical "multiple hooks - one solution" concept on its head. You can see the same form the other one-shots that are available. For me as a GM it gives me more flexibility in selecting a fitting ending that matches to the emergent vibe of the play though. However, I agree with you that it makes dropping hints harder or at least more work form the GM.
