Small quality pass on top of 1.0.0:
- Proper uninstaller. The app installs several GB of AI runtime into your user folder, separate from wherever you extracted it. Deleting the download folder alone used to leave all of that behind. There is now an
Uninstall NarrationOS.exe - in the folder that reclaims it for you and asks before touching your books, renders and voices. It also cleans up the bundled writing model from Ollama's shared folder, and only the parts NarrationOS actually added, so any models you downloaded yourself are left alone.
- Free up space without uninstalling. Settings now shows where your data folder lives, how big it is, and a one-click option to clear the downloaded model caches. They rebuild automatically on the next launch with no download needed.
- Better sample book. The included short story has been rewritten with longer, more flowing narration. The old version had a lot of very short lines, which the voice model tends to rush or slur, so first renders should sound noticeably cleaner.
- Fixes. No more stray console window during uninstall, the app version now sits at the top of Settings, and a few cases where the app could lose track of its own model files after a manual cleanup.
Your library, voices and existing renders are untouched by this update.
