This seems like a problem with just weirdness with clicking. We've had this issue in playtesting as well. In case it helps, your mouse's position is always the top-right corner of its sprite (even when this game changes it). In a post-jam update, we intend to help with this issue by simply making the buttons for the captcha bigger, and maybe by making clicking more intuitive on the backwards and upside-down mouse sprites.
