No, you are bound to public releases but once you download them you activate better verision by providing your email of your itch account. After restart you have all paid scenes.
Yeah, so what happens is that you download the 'censored' named version, then activate it with your itch.io account/email and it'll turn into the 'Premium' version you bought and paid for. That was explained in a dev post here by CutePercentage a loooong while ago.
