absolutely horrible and sickening, handles a lot of topics masterfully, and leaves you thinking about it long after it ends. I played this about a week and a half ago, before I even made this account, and it's been stirring in my mind ever since.
Both characters are incredibly well written, especially Rory, and I found myself unable to guess what would happen next. I had to step back multiple times due to how intense my anxiety around the game was getting. Tension builds up from the very first interaction and there's not a single true moment of relief to be found. Each interaction feels longer than it really is, and thats a major compliment.
I must say, the creator has written the bond between abuse survivors and abusers extremely well. I found myself relating to both the person in the phone call and Rory very deeply. I'm keeping it vague to avoid spoilers, but if you've played the game you'll know.
The only complaint I could possibly have is that, iirc, the CW/TWs are found in the menu, which I didn't find until it had already gotten pretty heavy, and for the wrong people could be dangerous.
Absolute 10/10 game, I've never played anything like it before.
