Itch.io does not take down games without legal proof. The DMCA takedown was approved by Itch.io's legal team because I provided verifiable evidence of copyright theft.
IP Ownership: Derry explicitly stated in writing that I retain full IP rights to my code and promised it would not be used.
Code Theft: When Version 1.5b was released, I decompiled the files and verified that my custom framework, folder structures, unpatched gyro code, and programmer credits were used without my permission.
Attempted Resolution: Prior to the DMCA, I attempted to negotiate a fair, flexible hourly rate for my two years of labor. Derry refused to negotiate and blocked me.
