This was a really cool take on the theme! My main critique would be the music and the sound effects, which didn't really give a "dramatic boss fight" feel to the game. Otherwise I thought it was pretty cool. I do wish I could have used left mouse to counter though instead of E, since that would have made it easier to press WASD at the same time.
