I loved the little Dracula guy's design and moving around as him, especially when he jumps and floats with his tiny cape. I also really liked he hovers when he walks, which is obviously a pretty minor thing, but it made me smile because most of the time in these game jam games if a character doesn't want I assume it's because they didn't have time to animate a walk cycle, but in this case it felt 100% appropriate.

I don't know if it's my computer, or a lack of rhythm, but I was never able to get a feel for the dash mechanic at all, despite really trying. I really wanted to keep playing since I loved walking and jumping as the little vampire, but after 10 or so tries on the second screen I called it quits. I had no problem keeping time when it was just jumping, but as soon as the dash became essential it just stopped being fun for me. As a player it really felt like it was delaying and firing randomly without giving me any control over the timing, even if it technically wasn't true. I read some of the explanations around the jump below and in the description, and while it seems to make sense on a technical level, on a game feel level if it had functioned like a normal dash (that activates the instant the button is pressed, like the jump) I don't think the timing would have been a problem for me at all.

I really liked the art and the general vibe - if the dash wasn't there or functioned more conventionally I think I definitely would have played until the end. Still liked what I little I saw!
