Wow! What a delightful game <3 <3 This reminds me of a game I played with my dad-- Warlords 2 Deluxe. I love how many effects are achieved with some fairly straightforward mechanics. The undead faction plays very differently from the Orcs. It also cool that there are twice as many unit types as unit slots in each town, since that makes each town feel different. Please finish this game and take my money!

I loved playing Warlords growing up, and I always wondered if could you add things like wounds, spells, unique heroes, and faction-specific troops and tilesets to a game like that? After a few years of development, we realized we could pack in a lot of detail with a very simple ruleset, but it was tougher than you might think at first. Our game is also inspired by and dedicated to the dads of the world, so thats pretty cool you played Warlords with your dad!
