Hi HSTopaz! I just came across Scarred By Heaven for the first time. Cool game! It takes me back to my Streets of Rage days, except with monsters and gore. What a fun concept!
I enjoyed watching some of the gameplay on your Youtube channel. It looks smooth and really feels like an arcade game. I'm writing because I do freelance game audio. Are you at the stage in development yet that you have time to consider audio in depth? I would love to chat about it when you have time. I can envision the aesthetic in different ways, like a fully modern audio aesthetic with hyper-realistic sounds, like the gore of The Walking Dead with a Bear McCreary type soundtrack, or an enhanced retro version, with a classic arcade aesthetic that gets a modern polish on it for crispness and music like the theme of the Ken stage on Street Fighter 2. Just some ideas. If you're interested, I can help with the music, sound design, and implementation to guide the audio half of the player experience into something really immersive that is unmistakenly Scarred By Heaven.
