Ah, we actually discussed this!! We decided that allowing the player to type during the pause between cowboys is actually more fun, as it allows the player to continue building their combo past the point where the words move too fast to reasonably type if they time their KOs well. It rewards strategy and skill in an additional way besides just typing fast :>
