About the platforms, it's something I wanted to fix up but run out time to do so. I will try to patch it after the jam is over.
The decal to project a drop shadow sounds very interesting, I will look into it and see what I can do.
About the sound - it did it's job perfectly then! You are playing as a little imp/goblin being left to look after your masters lab. But one of the masters experiments went wrong and the lab will explode soon as result.
