The overall art style is really joyful and has such a vibe! The ladder getting smashed and exploding is really satisfying! Idk if this is an issue but the level keeps going when time's up. Btw I like to think of Jacarillo's fist hitting others as just Jacarillo giving a thumbs-up to everyone lol!

About the timer: the system actually broke at the very last minute, and since I couldn't fix it in time, I decided to just disable it. And I absolutely love your theory about Jacarillo's fist!
