I did the browser version, and I did not have the problems with it that you described. I did have to press escape to release the mouse pointer sometimes as you said, but the sounds including the alarm all seemed to work and I was able to complete the game and escape. Good job.

Edit: I've showed this game to a few people I know, and we all think this is a cool idea. Playing as a cryptid-like entity escaping containment could be expanded into many fun ideas.
