This game really got me into a mad dash.... (get it)

I've got nothing to say about the movement, solid all-around (i absolutely love the smear that happens when you dash, i just think it looks cool)
The combination of the harsh breakcore soundtrack with the color palettes being black + yellow/red gave a really neat ambience to the game, this paired wih the random levels (sometime playing multiple times one after the other) made it really stand out to me!

Halfway through a run i somehow managed to get the first level like 3 times in a row too -w- I didn't really mind it but i can see it becoming slightly tedious on the more simple levels since there aren't that many ways to optimise your time in them, except by timing the dashes right, this is more of a gamejam/content amount issue, since adding a bunch of levels and mechanics would fix that easily !

I'd have liked some kind of indicator for when the dash comes back (a slight flash/blink effect on the player for example) so timing the dashes right on cooldown would feel easier/better, but apart from this, i just want to see more levels ! The movement feels just like Super Meat Boy but with way more friction (=less sliding on surfaces, more precise i guess?), and i like that!

Fun game !

Thanks for playing! There isn't a cooldown on the dash - your dash gets reset when you're touching the floor (which allows for optimizations like groundslamming + dashing infinitely on the floor for straight paths like on the 'two floor' level). I feel like there's a lot of mechanics I use in my runs that are lost because I didn't explain them well, which is my bad :sob:

Ohh that explains that part in certain levels :

I did figure out that the dash comes back when touching the ground/groundslamming thanks to the button levels, it's just the "dashing infinitely on the floor for straight paths" that i missed !

The game is mechanically simple enough that you don't have to explain everything (except like, the inputs) thoroughly, even if some strats get lost on some people as long as they can reach the goal it doesn't matter! People that like Speedrunning games will find out about those mechanics by experimenting as much as they can even if you don't explain said mechanics anyway, don't worry too much about it x)
