I really like this game! The puzzles are genuinely engaging. The later puzzles, where multiple pieces attack multiple pieces at a time and you have to move some of them out of the way requires a good amount of thought and tracing pieces back and forth - it feels like the traditional physical puzzle game Rush Hour. Great job with the sound effects and art as well.
The theme of "count down," however, is extremely tangential. You never run into the problem where you see a solution that would take too many moves so you have to find a new tactic, so the countdown never comes up. In fact, you're already limited by the number of pieces on the board, since every move you make removes a piece and we start with a finite number of pieces on the board, so we don't really need an external countdown to limit the number of moves we can make.
By the way, the game is extremely large (in terms of screen size) on the itch page which can make it hard to play. I think you should be able to resize the game area on the itch project without messing with your submission to the game jam. (Don't quote me on this; double-check before you do this.) But if it is possible to shrink down the size, it might let the game be playable for more people, ones who don't have enormous monitors to fit the game on.
