I don't know if it's a bug or a feature, but if you touch a wall while using the umbrella, you'll start wallsliding with the umbrella still in hand. Then, if you wall jump while still holding the umbrella, you are propelled up pretty high. You can climb any wall this way, doesn't matter how high.
