A tutorial was definitely on our list, unfortunately we ran out of time and had to cut a few features :(
I admit we should have at the very list added the keys to the UI to make things easier. I'm glad you liked it either way and know that we'll definitely update it for polish and bugfixes after the jam ends, if not making it into a full game ;)
