If you have checked your spam and its not there, then it could possibly be that your email address is no longer able to receive emails. This has happened to me before many times. I would recommend either creating a new email or just contacting support@google or support@apple. But everytime this has happened to me, I just create new emails. But It might just be that your internet may be slow or any of the reasons that people have replied above. But most of the times that this has happened to me, Its because the email address cant receive emails anymore.
