Love the game. Just a quick question; I have completed all of the Mechanic storyline previously, but in going for a few missing Ring cutscenes I've noticed that in new saves I can meet the Mechanic moving in & can see him in my character tab but no longer see his storyline in the objectives tab or seem to be able to progress it past the initial meeting. Just curious as to figure out why this is happening.

It's probably something to do with checking the gallery (by cheat) during that new save. The game is built on spaghetti code so there are a lot of kinks I gotta iron out. I'm afraid you have to restart again and refrain from going to the gallery in the extra new save. My suggestion is to only check the scenes in a save where you have completed the most or reached an ending.
