Just bought this game this morning and I'm already really enjoying it! Lots of options and plenty of wiggle room besides to build my monarchy around the lore I already have. Awesome

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but what I can't figure out is the princely lines table. Who or what does the result apply to? Say my monarch has no children surviving past childhood, so the throne goes to a niece/nephew like in the example - there are no "skipped generation" children left to assign the result to. Does it go to the parent of the new heir? I'm sure I'm just misunderstanding something but I thought I'd ask because I really enjoy this and want to make use of all of it!

Hello. Glad you're enjoying Lineage. Not a dumb question at all. The "Princely lines" table is intended to refer to the parent of the new heir - the prince/princess who was the brother/ sister of a monarch, and then uncle/aunt of a monarch, who never got to rule themselves, and who probably spent a life in the shadow of their elder sibling.   What influence or expectations were put on the new monarch, being raised by such a person?
