as a beta reader, this was quite literally their 1st draft with minor corrections.... i'm still shocked at the level of quality and literary mastery for a rushed 2 week project!!!!!!!!!
the eloquence is quiet, and gradually webs into a visceral mess of bodily fluids and destructive catharsis. the structure isn't complex, and the simplicity is almost more horrific. the psychology is fascinatingly deeply understood by its creator for how naturally it presents itself. violent codependency, bleak bitter worldviews, fragile self identities, romantic destruction and perversions of purity; the game description simply does not set you up for how gross, cruel, and traumatized these girls are. it won't let you forget it, even when it gets a little smart being humorous and playful at times. not a single detail is wasted; almost each line has a double meaning, ties into another, or returns to punish you for your attention.
my only complaint would be that the pacing doesn't cool down, it might even speed up? climaxes after climax, it might feel like things are dragging but on a beta reader side, i was told there's an intentional omission concerning outside lore happening that can contribute to that friction...but the result came out nicely! like jessi, you can't completely tell if you're feeling better from how much worser it becomes. trust that the payoff is beautiful, but doubt you'll feel lighter by the end of it.
