There are a lot of things going on here, but let me tell you what I liked the most:
- It has fresh gameplay built around a solid core mechanic, while still fitting perfectly with the Retro theme of the jam.
- I love how you worked with the low resolution and pixel rendering. It fits the jam perfectly.
There is clearly a lot of work behind this game. Great job!
