OUGHHHH what a beautiful game! Some spoilers below:
Everything about "rot with me" was gorgeous, from the doily textbox, to the art, to the sound design! The butterfly pin segments at the hospital were haunting, and I loved the way both the mc and her plant woman are often depicted not fully facing the user. It leaves such a sense of distance. Coupled with the writing, and the collage backgrounds, it feels so haunting!
I love how the art also evolved over time, how the lover seems to grow mold at points. And the halo surrounding the bugs was a really nice touch, I thought that was nice - reminiscent of sunlight!
I thought the pacing was also really nicely done, and the writing was poetic, but you could just feel how tired the mc was, if that makes sense? I don't have hEDS, but I could feel the inertia and the horror at the constant medical appointments that led to nothing but scorn. I also used to tend plants before I stopped, and inertia/mental health was a big reason for that, so the part about not being get up out of bed and feeling like she needed to rest hit really hard.
Everything about this vn was absolutely wonderful, and every single screen was breathtaking! Thank you so much for sharing!
