im sorry for replying to this so late, but i used a ROT cipher on the first two messages and a monoalphabetic cipher on the email. also, the ciphers had some upside-down letters, so i just flipped my screen over for that stuff lol
+ i think the madam's message was the first thing i tried decoding, but i failed miserably at that, so i still have no idea what her thing meant
you can look at your emails once you've gotten to the mc's laptop. just open net lurker up and look at the underlined purple words, & ''Deadmail'' should be one of them
the ''Don't turn on the lights :-)'' one has the cipher, and there's also one talking about this K.R. dude, ''FW: RE: Daiyu please read this'' the dev's mentioned him on her tumblr and has implied we've already seen him in the game, so rn I'm just assuming he's the mysterious man we run into at the start of the game
yess tyysm! there are many confusing things in the game like you mention the names of that one email K.R. dude and the onther one Daiyu, and cain is such an interesting charaters since we se in the madame scene that theres two of thme inside him so maybe like those skinwalkers that take copy of ppl since its based in the appalachian mountains and forests like folklores and stuff like that
