When your mandrake has become MATURE, there will be an option to harvest it, and when the mandrake has been harvested, you just need to go to the keeper (the scary big creature), and interact with it.
it said in the objectives just to harvest it and it didn't specify that you had to raise it more so i assumed that it wanted you to instantly harvest it
