I enjoyed the idea and concept of this, and how she wakes up in the middle of no where, not understanding what is going on. I spent 20 minutes recording this for a video, and unfortunately most of it was the same thing. I felt like a lot of what she was thinking and the imagery was repeated a lot, and this could have been slimmed down to a 10 or 15 minute game. I also felt like we didn't get a resolution to what was going on... she went to an area with a fence and a field, and saw... a silhouette? Was it herself? We didn't really get any answers. I am sure this is meant to be up for interpretation, and I do like that to some degree. Nonetheless I felt like it was a lot of fancy descriptions and words, and didn't really lead up to much. I do feel as if some of it was repetitive or unnecessarily long, such as it taking so long for her to stand up. It took about 10-11 minutes (I am a fast reader) for her to actually stand up and start figuring out what was going on.

I also do not understand why this was in horror. Perhaps because she didn't know where she was? Though it was mentioned multiple times that most of the game she was happy and excited. I'm not sure this fit into the horror genre.

As mentioned I did like the concept and idea, but I felt it kinda went on too long and didn't actually say much. My video will be out today or tomorrow on youtube and I'll link it then! Best wishes.

Congrats on finishing the game! Yeah, I agree the first half was a bit repetitive. Since making the game took so long, I ended up doing some rewriting and decided to shorten it. Initially, the plan was to make a 40-minute paid game, which then turned into an Early Access game for a dollar, before I finally decided to make it free and much shorter.

The IOrMe series is going to be a pretty long story. There will definitely be a plot twist later explaining what was actually happening in Chapter 1! It was intentional to keep things vague to mirror how the main character feels and perceives her surroundings.

That said, some of the mid-production changes did affect the intended tone. The end of Chapter 1 was originally supposed to explain 'what' and 'why' she was so terrified. Removing that left a few unexplained situations.

Regardless, thank you so much for playing my first ever published game! I'll do my best to make the next chapter even better!

That definitely makes sense! I do appreciate what you were going for. Best of luck to you, I'll keep an eye out for more of your work!
