I had fun with this, it was really cool. Made me laugh that the first encounter is Goblin Daycare lol, even the younglings huh

The gameplay loop was good, it felt good being able to autorestart (both actively and passively without 'You' in the party). It was pretty satisfying and it was easy to see a clear progression generally as well.

I think the balance was good overall, but I was surprised to see that the 'Strong/Tanky Magic/Martial Othermes' had their own curve regarding cost that started at only 15 ME. Because of this as soon as I could purchase the "remove party size restriction" upgrade I was able to buy like 16 Othermes and enter the final boss lair for the first time -- maybe that's intentional though. Unfortunately the game froze on my party's the 3rd attack and I had to close it. Not sure if it was because I had too many party members or what. I'm tempted to start the game over again because I liked it & want to see the end, but there's a good few other games to rate first hah.

Considering you mentioned only working on this for about 1 week due to the steam sale, I am impressed. I think this game has a lot of potential actually, and I'd like to see it fleshed out for sure. I'd say definitely consider pursuing that if it's something you'd be interested in

Only thing I'd say is uhh, it feels like the theming is a bit loose - I appreciate the lore and reasoning and calling them "Othermes" but when it might be a Wolf, Fairy, or Modern Soldier it feels like it might as well just be called "Recruit random party member" hah. I think it would be cool if each one was a little closer to the base 'You' but with some amount of variance -- maybe if you could also adjust their equipment and focus and such -- that would feel very fitting. But yeah I dunno

PS: I audibly laughed when I saw my Spider was 'attacking with 8 fists', just the mental image haha. I've been bitten by spiders irl but never have I been beaten into a pulp by what sounds like a move from an old kung fu movie
