this felt like being lost inside of baklava... heightened and disorienting and layered and wistful and sad. it felt like being caught in the tides the whole time... it made me think a lot about the ways in which we give ourself to others and the ways in which we have to take ourself from others and the like... deep inner need to just be in a world where there is less give/take and more share?

the ruminations on age were interesting as someone who is steadily approaching 40 and seeing like. both the feelings of "holy fuck i am becoming unlovably old" and "age has affirmed my identity and i am this close to escaping childbearing age" were expressed so well.

the captor scene was absolutely heartbreaking especially as told from the perspective of observer who already knows what happens especially as a reader who like instantly keyed in to what was going to happen because, well, been there done that.

i'm really thankful you made this especially as a system who largely does not remember our dreams anymore and after reading this i am even less sure than i was if that is a good or bad thing. also i like your weird girls they were really neat...
